Health and Wellbeing through Occupation will be hosted by Bournemouth University 3rd and 4th September 2015.
Thank you to everyone who attended, organised or took part in the conference over the two day programme.
The exceptional and inspiring speakers, delegates and presenters keen to debate and immerse themselves in the meaning of occupation, health and wellbeing in a variety of ways and innovative occupation-based sessions all worked to make a successful conference full of stimulating presentations and workshops.
Photos will follow when we have sorted through the many taken throughout the conference so please visit the site again at the end of the month.
Also if you have comments, queries or feedback please email me at email@example.com and I will share them here on the website.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet you all!
This is a continuing professional development (CPD) event. Certificates of attendance and participation will be available for all delegates.
“I am deeply honoured to be speaking on ‘Occupational Justice’ at the 2015 OSE conference. I am so looking forward to joining the exciting conversation that is occurring about the theoretical and ethical foundations of occupation science as a discipline and practice.”

There is more information about the conference venue, transport, accommodation and facilities as well as the Bournemouth area and what to do in the Venue tab of this site. It is a beautiful area and as the conference is on a Thursday/Friday, why not stay for the weekend. Explore the surrounding countryside with the celebrated New Forest National Park and World Heritage Jurassic coastline or explore the nearby historic harbour towns of Poole and Christchurch. The landscape is sometimes gentle, sometimes breath-taking and always showcases the beauty of the Dorset area.
The two-day conference includes key-note speeches, parallel presentations, an exhibition and poster display, inter-professional debate and creative/performative activities – which may involve sandcastles!
Information about the conference schedule and how to book is in the Conference Details tab of this site. Registration is now open and Early Bird registration is open until end May 2015.
There will be an optional Conference Gala Dinner on the evening of the 3rd September which we hope many of you will take the opportunity to attend, providing time to socialise/network in a more relaxed environment, at a beautiful venue overlooking the water.
SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS – CLOSED.
The conference will have a number of parallel oral presentations as well as poster displays. Information on submitting an abstract is available in the Abstracts tab.
There is more information about Occupational Science Europe on the About OSE tab.
And finally, there is information about Bournemouth University in general as well as around our CPD offering in particular. This can be found in the CPD at BU tab.
Please contact us if you have any queries and don’t forget to pack a bucket and spade!
