With an \u00a381 billion economy and over 133,000 businesses, the Great South West is fast emerging as one of the UK\u2019s most dynamic investment destinations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The\u00a0proposed Talbot Quarter\u00a0in Bournemouth is spotlighted as one of the UK\u2019s most exciting regeneration projects, and ORI could be at the heart of this future-focused innovation hub. As part of the wider \u00a3350 million development, ORI will continue to drive forward medical science, surgical innovation, and healthcare research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The brochure highlights ORI\u2019s and Bournemouth University\u2019s contribution to the region\u2019s reputation for health and wellbeing innovation, alongside partners such as Health Sciences University and Arts University Bournemouth. ORI\u2019s commitment to digital health, surgical innovation, and wearable technology\u2019s positions it as a key player in aligning health innovation with sustainable economic development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Across the Great South West \u2014 which includes Dorset, Devon, Somerset, and Cornwall \u2014 the brochure showcases:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>The\u00a0Agratas Gigafactory\u00a0in Somerset, producing battery cells at scale<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0Dorset Clean Energy Super Cluster, advancing offshore wind and hydrogen<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0Plymouth &amp; South Devon Freeport, supporting marine autonomy and defence<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0Exeter &amp; East Devon Enterprise Zone, a low-carbon innovation hotspot<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0Talbot Quarter, a health-tech, MedTech and digital innovation district, featuring ORI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The publication reinforces that the region is home to\u00a0eight world-class universities, including Bournemouth University, and boasts an innovation ecosystem supported by talent, infrastructure, and world-leading research \u2014 with ORI standing as an example of the impactful work underway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Professor Robert Middleton, Head of the Orthopaedic Research Institute, said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe\u2019re proud to see ORI included in this important strategic document.
