{"id":19,"date":"2011-08-01T13:07:13","date_gmt":"2011-08-01T13:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/wp\/?page_id=19"},"modified":"2025-05-19T09:50:34","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T09:50:34","slug":"about-merj","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/merj\/about-merj\/","title":{"rendered":"About MERJ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The<strong> Media Education Research Journal (MERJ)<\/strong> is a peer\u2013reviewed academic journal, which has been published since Spring 2010. <em>MERJ<\/em> is online, fully open access with no article processing charges.<\/p>\n<p><em>MERJ<\/em> offers a forum for the exchange of academic research into media education and pedagogy conducted by academics, practitioners and teachers situated in all sectors and contexts for media education.<\/p>\n<p>The journal aims to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue between media education researchers globally; it looks to facilitate the exchange of qualitative, critical, empirical, action and discursive research.<\/p>\n<p><em>MERJ<\/em> welcomes outcomes of research into any aspect of media education and\/or media literacy education, as well as \u2018thought pieces\u2019 that address critical issues and debates in the field.
