Two new PR history books have been published in the UK:
Cambridge historian Scott Anthony, has written a biography of Stephen Tallents, an important figure in the formation of the UK public relations sector in the 1930s and 1940. Published by Manchester University Press, it is titled “Public relations and the making of modern Britain: Stephen Tallents and the birth of a progressive media profession”. Robert S. Leaf, who developed Burson Marsteller’s international network from the late 1960s onwards has written a memoir, The Art of Perception: Memoirs of a Life in PR. It is published by Atlantic Books, cost is £25.00 and it is available via Amazon.
