I know that it is only the second week of April so a bit early for my update BUT in the last week we have received some fantastic news that I have to share – even if it is barely mid-month!
Building on our entry into the Times Higher Education (THE) top 200 list of the most international universities in the world, I am now delighted to share with you that Bournemouth University has also been recognised by the THE as one of the world’s best young universities. The THE 150 under 50 showcases the top universities from around the world under the age of 50 and BU is placed between 101 and 150 in the rankings. Only 25 UK universities made the cut – and we are very proud to be amongst them!
But the good news didn’t stop here – on Thursday 7th April the shortlist for the THELMAs 2016 was released and I am incredibly proud to reveal that BU has been shortlisted in the Outstanding International Strategy category. This is a very special honour for us at Global BU – having only formally launched our strategy last year. This nomination therefore is testament to the impact BU staff and students are already making globally and fills us with even more enthusiasm to build on this success and achieve our vision for a Global BU.
Congratulations to all the BU staff and students who have helped to make these recent recognitions happen.
