In recent years the theft of buggy’s and travel systems has doubled, with the buggy black market worth £60million. This is fuelled by parents wanting to buy second hand buggies on websites such as eBay.

buggyBUDDY is a product aimed at parents which allows them to leave their buggy securely with peace of mind. buggyBUDDY features a lock with an optional 80dB alarm, and contains a three-metre cable which can be used to secure the buggy to either a stable structure or to itself.

The product’s alarm will sound if the cable is cut or if a potential theft is taking place. This product is designed to complement existing high end buggies and travel systems with its neutral colours and tones. buggyBUDDY is designed to be left on the travel system when not in use and allows the parent to collapse their buggy with the product still attached.

buggyBUDDY has an IP4 rating which means it is splash proof and can survive outside weather conditions. buggyBUDDY will RRP at £20 and is aimed primarily at parents who have invested in expensive top-of-the-range travel systems.
