It would be wonderful if you could please spare a few minutes to answer a short questionnaire sponsored by the International\u00a0Association of Student Affairs and Services (IASAS). Over the last six years there have been
\nconversations and dialogues at student affairs and services conferences and meetings around\u00a0the world about the work we do to support student success and what skills, abilities, and\u00a0expertise are needed for our work. This study builds on those conversations and seeks to further highlight the importance of student learning outside of the classroom, as well as specific\u00a0competencies on the part of staff and faculty to make that learning possible.<\/p>\n
The Global Competencies Project has four objectives:
\n\u2022 To gain an idea of the shared work of student support services across borders.
\n\u2022 Identify regional differences in competencies and\/or skills.
\n\u2022 Elevate the work we do on a global scale by bringing attention to the importance of this
\nwork to university and government leaders.
\n\u2022 Promote the impact of our work in your own country.<\/p>\n
We are seeking your assistance in identifying and prioritizing the competencies needed to
\nsupport student success and learning across the globe. To that end, we have developed a
\nbrief survey. It will take about 10 minutes to complete. All results will be confidential and
\nreported only in aggregate. No personal identities will be attached to any responses. We will
\npost a copy of the final results on the IASAS website.<\/p>\n
