Members from both centres will be working together to share ideas, skills and resources across the fusion areas of Education, Research and Professional Practice.<\/p>\n<p>CEL are developing a strong creative strand, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/staffprofiles.bournemouth.ac.uk\/display\/cscott\">Curie Scott<\/a> with Lego, Collage and Origami workshops continuing to be taken forward in the University. For example, using <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bournemouth.ac.uk\/research\/?p=72462\">collage with 60 post-graduate research students<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2018\/10\/01\/ma-corporate-communication-students-experience-lego-serious-play\/\">Lego with MA Corporate Communication<\/a> students. Origami is used across education and research, read a report on the Origami in Science, Maths and Education conference <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.bournemouth.ac.uk\/research\/2018\/09\/14\/origami-for-science-maths-and-education-international-meeting\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>CQR is led by <a href=\"https:\/\/staffprofiles.bournemouth.ac.uk\/display\/jonesk\">Kip Jones<\/a>, Centre Director, and <a href=\"https:\/\/staffprofiles.bournemouth.ac.uk\/display\/cehill\">Caroline Ellis-Hill<\/a>, Deputy Director.<\/p>\n<p>CQR members are known for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Involving creativity in humanising health and social care;<\/li>\n<li>gathering data in novel ways;<\/li>\n<li>participant involvement at every stage of research and dissemination;<\/li>\n<li>unique ways of interpreting and disseminating data;<\/li>\n<li>and new ways of writing&#8211;including fiction, script-writing, poetry, and auto-ethnography.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CQR has been the home of the development of <a href=\"https:\/\/research.bournemouth.ac.uk\/2013\/02\/the-continuing-development-of-a-performative-social-science-at-bournemouths-centre-for-qualitative-research\/\">Performative Social Science<\/a> (PSS) for more than fourteen years, led by Kip Jones. An arts-led approach to research and its dissemination, it is not simply art for art&#8217;s sake, but based in the theoretical premises of Relational Aesthetics. Recently lauded by <em>Sage Publications<\/em>, they described PSS as pioneering work that will \u2018propel arts-led research forward\u2019 and be a &#8216;valued resource for students and researchers for years to come\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>CQR consists of several subgroups:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Arts in Research Collaborative<\/li>\n<li>Humanisation Special Interest Group<\/li>\n<li>Narrative Research Group<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Gang of Four&#8221; Doctoral Methodological Support Group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This year\u2019s CQR \u2018Go Create!\u2019 seminars support the BU 2025 call for \u201cAdvancing knowledge, creativity and innovation\u201d.
