Guiding them to consider their emotional readiness to assimilate comments may improve the feedback\/ feedforward process. To add to research on delivering effective feedback, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heacademy.ac.uk\/knowledge-hub\/developing-engagement-feedback-toolkit-deft\">The Developing Engagement with Feedback Toolkit<\/a> considered how students\u2019 RECEIVE feedback.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/05\/assessment-flowchart-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5199 size-full\" title=\"from &quot;How to use feedback effectively guide&quot; p.7\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/05\/assessment-flowchart-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"455\" height=\"550\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/05\/assessment-flowchart-1.png 455w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/05\/assessment-flowchart-1-248x300.png 248w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 455px) 100vw, 455px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The research confirmed a common lament that students do not engage with assignment feedback.
