On Wednesday Dr Jen Leamon from FHSS and Dr Jenny Hall from CEL facilitated the final seminar of the ‘in conversation’ season for the Centre for Qualitative Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

 <\/p>\n

Their topic was \u2018Building confidence through creative crafting\u2019 where they discussed the use of craft activities within research and teaching and learning. They described how they started craft and where this sat in research and education activities. They brought along objects they had made and talked about their EdD theses as both had used crafting in different ways.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jen then showed everyone how to print using lino cuts she had made and to make boxes from previous prints.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

\"\"<\/a>Discussion moved into understanding patterns and interpretation of qualitative research.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session was fun but also gave serious opportunity to consider how craft activities are valid ways of producing research data.<\/p>\n
