in VR you can be anywhere.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>After the meeting, the host took the group into the Titanic museum room (I was amazed to see tiny people walking around on the deck of Titanic!)\u00a0and onto the moon for a selfie (someone was riding on a whale at that point!).\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/collage-VW-300x300.jpg\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Liz and I also took a walk around her Avebury world together.\u00a0 I particularly enjoyed the sound effects she had captured to create the world (including dangling her husband over a stream to get the water sounds)!\u00a0 Other details that brought it to life included wild flowers in\u00a0the meadow that were gently swaying in the wind.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I took the opportunity to visit the World War Exhibition (which included a commentary, photos and an aeroplane flying around), swim under water and walk at the beach, all within the Engage virtual world platform.\u00a0 One of my twitter contacts kindly met me in the virtual lecture theatre and showed me how to play videos etc on the big screen.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/lecture.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6945 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/lecture-298x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"194\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/lecture-298x300.jpg 298w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/lecture-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/lecture-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/lecture-125x125.jpg 125w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/lecture.jpg 482w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/12\/moon-300x297.jpg\" width=\"204\" height=\"202\" \/>\n<p><em>Although the software does not work entirely smoothly at present;
