Flipped Learning, Flipped Pancakes!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Celebrate Shove Tuesday (Pancake Day) by learning about Flipped Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Come have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>FREE<\/strong><\/span> pancakes and interact with our fabulous new touch screen in the Staff Centre and learn about flipped learning.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Michael Wilmore,\u00a0Executive Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication,\u00a0will\u00a0help to launch our \u2018Flipped learning\u2019 event with a talk about his recent research about engaging academics with new approaches to learning and teaching.<\/p>\n<p>Barriers such as time constraints, miscommunication, and change resistance were overcome by modelling a shift from \u201csage on the stage\u201d to \u201cguide on the side\u201d, through use of flipped and blended learning approaches by the academic developers.
