{"id":6695,"date":"2017-12-08T09:22:15","date_gmt":"2017-12-08T09:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cel\/?p=6695"},"modified":"2017-11-29T09:24:33","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T09:24:33","slug":"btec-champions-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2017\/12\/08\/btec-champions-group\/","title":{"rendered":"BTEC Champions Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>===apologies for cross posting===<\/p>\n<p>In response to sector-wide and institutional data that highlighted disparities in achievement and progression between BTEC entrants and their A-Level counterparts, NTU set up a \u2018BTEC Champions Group\u2019 as a university-wide initiative to identify, pilot and evaluate interventions aimed at understanding and addressing these disparities. It was also an institutional forum for creativity, sharing of ideas &amp; best practice. However, as this is indeed a sector-wide challenge, we were also keen to engage with and learn from others and so, in 2016, hosted our first symposium to bring colleagues from across the sector, together. \u00a0Delegates expressed interest in staying in touch, so we set up an online group using Edmodo, which contains the presentations from both symposia and links to BTEC related literature and policy development. It\u2019s not perfect but provides a user-friendly platform for discussion and sharing, which might be helpful for you and others to connect?
