The FAR project webpages <\/a>have now been published.<\/p>\n

BU\u2019s pioneering Fair Access Research project has brought\u00a0together students, SUBU, professional, service and academic staff from across\u00a0the university\u00a0to develop and expand expertise and reflexive practice\u00a0in the field of fair access to higher education.<\/p>\n

Each member of the team\u00a0has brought different knowledge and experiences to a series of innovative research projects exploring what it means to be a \u2018non-traditional\u2019 student in the 21st<\/sup>\u00a0century. FAR has inspired new ways of thinking about fair access and widening participation through this \u2018whole institution approach\u2019,<\/p>\n

The team has explored all the different stages in the student lifecycle developing an understanding of the challenges some students face in accessing or succeeding at university, how university is experienced by diverse groups of students and how the university can support them in the optimum way when they are here.<\/p>\n
