However, the training provided by the Brightspace team has sparked all sorts of internal conversations. The training was beautifully designed: I had my own \u2018sandbox\u2019 to play in and live support from the team. This was a sophisticated lesson to an educationalist about <a href=\"http:\/\/psycnet.apa.org\/journals\/bdb\/17\/1\/1.pdf\">learning by doing<\/a> and, judging by our responses as we experimented, \u201csensory contact with the results of doing\u201d was evident (Reese, 2011, p1).<\/p>\n<p>On Brightspace, which is now linked on the scrolling bar there are four units. Examples extend beyond the use as a repository for taught sessions and include embedded video clips, the video note feature in Brightspace, discussion boards, a padlet, and <a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.bournemouth.ac.uk\/d2l\/le\/content\/6665\/viewContent\/3128\/View\">an avatar to introduce a section<\/a> (make sure you are logged into Brightspace to view).<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/06\/Voki-capture.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5521\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/06\/Voki-capture.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"770\" height=\"464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/06\/Voki-capture.png 770w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/06\/Voki-capture-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/files\/2017\/06\/Voki-capture-768x463.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 770px) 100vw, 770px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The PGCert is in the first wave of transitioning from MyBU to Brightspace.
