Bournemouth University’s Centre for Excellence in Learning (CEL) in collaboration with the Student Union (SUBU) presented an impressive ceremony on the 14th of February 2017 at the Student Centre to award certificates and prizes\u00a0to\u00a0some outstanding undergraduate students of the university. This was in recognition of their success in this year’s Student Led Co-creation Funding Scheme operated by CEL.\u00a0The ceremony was chaired by Professor Gail Thomas, the Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Mr Graham Beards, the University’s Director of Finance and Performance who handed out the certificates and cheques to the deserving students .<\/p>\n\"DSC01474\"<\/a>\"DSC01445\"<\/a>\"DSC01475\"<\/a>\n\"DSC01443\"<\/a>\"DSC01457\"<\/a>\"DSC01472\"<\/a>\n

After a fiercely competitive process that saw several BU final year undergraduate students bid\u00a0for funds to execute an innovative idea\u00a0of their choice under the Student led Co-creation Funding Scheme , the following 14 projects\u00a0were selected:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

As in previous years,\u00a0this year\u2019s awards aim to support the development of collaborative projects that will lead to co-created outputs.\u00a0Prior to announcing the\u00a0winners of the competition, interested students identified a topic of relevance and an academic they would like to work with on the\u00a0project. \u00a0Each contestant\u00a0submitted a brief project plan with intended outcomes to a panel organised by the Centre for Excellence in Learning who\u00a0reviewed them and selected deserving winners.<\/p>\n

At the awards ceremony, successful students were given the opportunity to present a brief of their project. Amongst those who graced the event with their\u00a0presence\u00a0were academics, faculty deans, representatives from CEL and SUBU.<\/p>\n\"DSC01423\"<\/a>\"DSC01489\"<\/a>\u00a0\"DSC01428\"<\/a>\"DSC01493\"<\/a>\"DSC01414\"<\/a>\"DSC01436\"<\/a>\"DSC01494\"<\/a>\"DSC01416\"<\/a>\"DSC01429\"<\/a>\n
