The Average Child<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t cause teacher\u2019s trouble;<\/p>\n

My grades have been okay,<\/p>\n

I listen in my classes.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m in school every day.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My teachers think I\u2019m average;<\/p>\n

My parents think so too.<\/p>\n

I wish I didn\u2019t know that, though;<\/p>\n

There\u2019s lots I\u2019d like to do.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019d like to build a rocket;<\/p>\n

I read a book on how.<\/p>\n

Or start a stamp collection ..<\/p>\n

But no use trying now.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2018Cause , since I found I\u2019m average,<\/p>\n

I\u2019m smart enough to see<\/p>\n

To know there\u2019s nothing special<\/p>\n

I should expect of me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019m part of the majority,<\/p>\n

That hump part of the bell,<\/p>\n

Who spends his life unnoticed<\/p>\n

In an average kind of hell.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I am sure this poem connects with many of us, it did with me!<\/p>\n

I am starting this blog with this poem taken from the web site of Sir John Jones, author of the Magic Weaving Business;<\/em> this poem by Mike Buscemi, sums up what Sir John Jones is all about, his approach, passion, care and commitment to personalisation in education.<\/p>\n

Sir John was knighted for his services to education in 2003, and is coming to talk at the Service Excellence Conference, 2017<\/strong>. We are delighted to be welcoming this prestigious speaker and we know that Sir John\u2019s message will be relevant to us all.<\/p>\n
