The Centre for Excellence in Learning is pleased to invite applications for its Student Led Co-creation Projects.\u00a0The co-creation project funds student-led, collaborative projects delivering co-created outputs between an academic\u00a0and a\u00a0student. Whether that\u2019s a paper, presentation or product, the output is important. Projects don\u2019t have to form part of a particular unit of a curriculum and it is open to final year students. Successful proposals receive up to \u00a3500.<\/p>\n

Application form can be accessed from\u00a0the following link: cel_subu_co-creation-student-projectsautumn2016<\/a><\/p>\n Submission\u00a0should be made\u00a0to: Dr Marcellus Mbah<\/a><\/p>\n The Centre for Excellence in Learning (CEL) and SUBU will be\u00a0holding drop-in sessions for students and academics who want\u00a0to find out more information about applying for the co-creation project funding the week of the 24th of October 2016. Further details about\u00a0the sessions will be communicated.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Examples of projects that were successful\u00a0last year at the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n Can a Tibial mounted accelerometer be used to detect the impact differences across different footwear during running?<\/strong> Darel worked well on the co-creation project being an active member of the data collection. In addition, he went through\u00a0training relating to technology and its use in healthcare, giving him the confidence to co-create an abstract submission. This was accepted and he conducted a poster presentation at the Physiotherapy Research Society Conference.<\/p>\n MMP Magazine<\/strong><\/p>\n Thanks to the funding, the student\u00a0beneficiary\u00a0published Featured, a magazine featuring the final year journalism students’ work. This was eventually launched at the\u00a0Careers Forum so that it could be picked up by visitors from industry, alumni and current students. Everyone was very impressed and it will now be made available at the open days so that prospective students can get a real flavour of what they might be producing if they study BA Multimedia journalism.
