{"id":2907,"date":"2016-03-02T19:58:06","date_gmt":"2016-03-02T19:58:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cel\/?p=2907"},"modified":"2016-03-02T20:03:09","modified_gmt":"2016-03-02T20:03:09","slug":"3-super-convincing-reasons-to-complete-the-digital-skills-self-assessment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2016\/03\/02\/3-super-convincing-reasons-to-complete-the-digital-skills-self-assessment\/","title":{"rendered":"3 super-convincing reasons to complete the digital skills self-assessment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many staff will have received the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Toolkit pouch in the post in the last week.\u00a0 In addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.bournemouth.ac.uk\/about\/centre-excellence-learning\/tel-toolkit\">TEL Toolkit<\/a> where you can learn of the many pedagogic ways of using TEL in your teaching and learning, the pouch also contained information on the digital skills self-assessment.\u00a0 We are asking staff to spend 15 minutes to complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/bournemouth.onlinesurveys.ac.uk\/digital-skills\">digital skills self-assessment online questionnaire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Why would you do that?<\/p>\n<p>Here are our <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">three<\/span> reasons:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0The self-assessment will give you a <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">good understanding of your digital skills<\/span>.\u00a0 It will remind you of all the digital skills you already possess and may also prompt you to look at other skills with which you are not so confident or familiar.\u00a0 Details of all the tools listed in the self-assessment questionnaire can be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.bournemouth.ac.uk\/about\/centre-excellence-learning\/tel-toolkit\">TEL Toolkit<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>We are trying to build a picture of digital skills in BU so that we can focus resources, help, support and assistance where it can most <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">benefit BU staff<\/span>.\u00a0 To enable us to make informed decisions, we first need the data so please fill out the questionnaire.\u00a0 You can enter your name on the questionnaire or\u00a0 leave the name field blank if your prefer.\u00a0 All we do ask for is your Faculty\/Professional Service and Department.<\/li>\n<li>The questionnaire has been designed to be as speedy as possible.\u00a0 It takes only about 15 minutes.\u00a0 The time it takes to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.\u00a0 It really <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">takes very little time<\/span>.\u00a0 We appreciate you are very busy but think how good you will feel when you have completed it!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We hope we have convinced you to <a href=\"https:\/\/bournemouth.onlinesurveys.ac.uk\/digital-skills\">fill out the questionnaire<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Very many thanks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many staff will have received the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Toolkit pouch in the post in the last week.\u00a0 In addition to the TEL Toolkit where you can learn of the many pedagogic ways of using TEL in your teaching and learning, the pouch also contained information on the digital skills self-assessment.\u00a0 We are asking&#8230;
