{"id":17839,"date":"2025-07-30T18:14:30","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T18:14:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/?p=17839"},"modified":"2025-08-01T11:53:44","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T11:53:44","slug":"preparing-units-for-25-26-and-key-dates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2025\/07\/30\/preparing-units-for-25-26-and-key-dates\/","title":{"rendered":"Preparing units for 25\/26 and key dates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new curricular units for 2025\/26 will be available on Brightspace from the morning of <strong>Monday 4th August.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What do I need to do to access new units?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.bournemouth.ac.uk\/d2l\/le\/content\/18315\/viewContent\/2234043\/View\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Getting access guide<\/a> for how to access new units as a Unit leader, Teaching Team staff, Programme Leader or Programme Support Team staff.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What do I need to do to prepare my units for teaching in 2025\/26?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.bournemouth.ac.uk\/d2l\/le\/content\/18315\/viewContent\/1105755\/View\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unit Preparation Guidance<\/a> page for further guidance on preparing units, including getting access, adding staff, copying over content and more.<\/p>\n<h2>Changes under the new organisational structure<\/h2>\n<p>Brightspace unit codes for 2025\/26 units and past units will reflect the new organisation structure so you will see the new abbreviations in the unit code indicating the Faculty and School.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous unit code: 96184_FMC_ANI_L5_2425<\/li>\n<li>New unit code: 96184_MST_NCA_L5_2425<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that for past units, the numeric part of the code will not change, only the Department (School) and Faculty abbreviation will change.
