This will be an <strong>in-person hands-on session<\/strong> working with data provided by MathWorks.<\/p>\n<h3>Prerequisites<\/h3>\n<p>Before attending the session, please make sure you have the latest version of MATLAB installed<br \/>\nonto your computer &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.mathworks.com\/academia\/tah-portal\/bournemouth-university-30971881.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MATLAB Access for Bournemouth University<\/a>.<br \/>\nIf you are new to MATLAB or haven\u2019t used the software for a while it would be very beneficial to<br \/>\ncomplete the 2-hour <a href=\"https:\/\/matlabacademy.mathworks.com\/details\/matlab-onramp\/gettingstarted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MATLAB on-ramp<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Part 1: Data processing with MATLAB (1 hour)<\/h2>\n<p>We will import historic rainfall measurements into MATLAB and explore different ways of organising this data. Using the live script environment, we will filter and visualise measurements using controls. These provide interactive element into your script. Starting with a pretrained deep learning network (googlenet) to perform live image classification. Then we will retrain this network to identify a different set of objects.
