At BU, we believe in striking a balance that empowers creativity, enhances academic innovation whilst ensuring transparency and\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/intranetsp.bournemouth.ac.uk\/pandptest\/6h-academic-offences-policy-and-procedure-for-taught-awards.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">academic integrity<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. We understand that GenAI is not just a buzzword; it&#8217;s a fundamental part of the future professional landscape, and students need to be equipped to engage with AI tools effectively, openly and critically. To support our academics, the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2023\/10\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Centre for Fusion Learning Innovation and Excellence (FLIE)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> has curated a set of resources. The <\/span><b><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">crown jewel <\/span><\/i><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in this offering is the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/livebournemouthac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/TELID\/SitePages\/FLIE-AI-Resource-Hub.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">BU Generative AI Resource Hub<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. It&#8217;s designed with one primary goal in mind: to promote the understanding, adoption, and dissemination of GenAI practices and tools within our academic community at BU. What can you find in this hub? The answer is multifaceted. It&#8217;s a treasure trove of best practice examples, all geared toward encouraging you, the BU academics, to integrate GenAI into your teaching methods using the guiding principles to support. Moreover, it provides you with access to an array of academic resources keeping you well-informed about GenAI&#8217;s far-reaching impact on teaching and learning.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As part of our commitment to supporting academics on their GenAI journey, FLIE conducted <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/livebournemouthac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/TELID\/SitePages\/FLIE-AI-Resource-Hub.aspx#ai-workshop-videos-and-slides\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">GenAI workshops<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> throughout the summer. The feedback we received from these sessions was positive. Academics welcomed the opportunity to engage in candid conversations about the challenge, opportunities and generously shared their own experiences and best practices related to GenAI. These are showcased in the resource hub&#8217;s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/livebournemouthac.sharepoint.com\/sites\/TELID\/SitePages\/FLIE-AI-Resource-Hub.aspx#showcasing-good-practice-with-ai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Showcasing Good Practice<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> section. This academic year, FLIE are taking our GenAI initiatives to the next level with a series of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2023\/09\/25\/upcoming-flie-workshops-generative-ai-and-education-practice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">workshops<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> every Wednesday, covering a wide range of topics from Hacking GenAI to Ethics and Integrity and Inclusivity. As well as weekly AI drop ins to support academics FLIE are here to ensure that you have the knowledge and skills needed to make GenAI work for you and your students.
