FLIE are running a series of training sessions aimed at equipping educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate generative AI into university education. Sign up via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2023\/09\/25\/upcoming-flie-workshops-generative-ai-and-education-practice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eventbrite<\/a>\u00a0or join online on the day via our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.bournemouth.ac.uk\/d2l\/le\/content\/18315\/viewContent\/739130\/View\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Workshops and Drop-ins page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Join us on Wednesday 1st November:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hacking GenAI 12.00-13.00<\/strong><br \/>\nGain an understanding of generative AI and its potential impact on education<\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic Integrity 13.00-14.00<\/strong><br \/>\nExamine regulatory and institutional policies aimed at preventing inappropriate use of generative AI tools that could lead to academic misconduct<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The sessions will encompass practical activities aimed at introducing relevant AI platforms and familiarising staff with various generative AI models in education. Sessions are designed to explore creative approaches to harness generative AI for enhancing student engagement in assessment design while addressing the potential for misconduct. We will also reflect on our academic integrity and our assessment policies, all of which are designed to prevent inappropriate use of generative AI.
