They help ensure that assignments are evaluated fairly and consistently.<\/span><span a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0rubric\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">provides<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">marking\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">guide<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lines to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0use to evaluate\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a piece<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of student<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s work\u200b.\u00a0 It can also\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">further<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0support\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">learning by providing students with feedback and data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">inbuilt\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">rubric tool.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For large or multiple file submissions you can use<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0B<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">rightspace\u2019s rubric tool.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0u<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tili<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">se<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the BU<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">generic<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">assessment criteria\u00a0<\/span><span on the scale setting you have applied when marking\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> piece of work.\u00a0 Note that the final grade awarded will <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">still be <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">your decision.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">objectives that need to be met for their assessment and so help them achieve a good grade.<\/span><span
