{"id":11534,"date":"2020-09-09T13:32:50","date_gmt":"2020-09-09T13:32:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/?p=11534"},"modified":"2020-09-09T13:34:25","modified_gmt":"2020-09-09T13:34:25","slug":"bu-certificate-in-programme-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2020\/09\/09\/bu-certificate-in-programme-leadership\/","title":{"rendered":"BU Certificate in Programme Leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am delighted to inform you that the BU Certificate in Programme Leadership for 2020-21 launches next month.\u00a0 This is a 20 credit Level 7 unit for those who are new, existing or aspiring Programme Leaders.\u00a0 The aim of the unit is to offer experienced academics an opportunity to reflect on their skills as Programme Leaders,\u00a0and to develop these further as role models and motivators for others to follow, creating a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>Sessions take place on Friday afternoons\u00a0and there will be\u00a0one session per month. Initially the sessions will be delivered using Zoom. The\u00a0key\u00a0dates are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Launch:<\/strong> Friday 2nd October 1.30-3<\/li>\n<li><strong>Session 1:<\/strong> Friday 23rd October 1.30-4.30<\/li>\n<li><strong>Session 2:<\/strong> Friday 20th November 1.30-4.30<\/li>\n<li><strong>Session 3:<\/strong> Friday 11th December 1.30-4.30<\/li>\n<li><strong>Session 4:<\/strong> Friday 15th January 1.30-4.30<\/li>\n<li><strong>Session 5:<\/strong> Friday 12th February 1.30-4.30<\/li>\n<li><strong>Session 6:<\/strong> Friday 12th March 1.30-4.30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We understand the pressures that Programme Leaders are under at the moment,\u00a0and so participation in the programme is completely voluntary.<\/p>\n<p>This is an academic award, and staff who successfully complete the course will receive a BU Certificate in Programme Leadership which can be helpful for your promotion and pay progression.\u00a0Successful completion of the programme requires the submission of an\u00a0appropriate\u00a0assignment consisting\u00a0of two case studies.
