{"id":10629,"date":"2019-09-23T12:33:56","date_gmt":"2019-09-23T12:33:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/?p=10629"},"modified":"2019-09-23T12:33:56","modified_gmt":"2019-09-23T12:33:56","slug":"aldinhe-2020-the-learning-development-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2019\/09\/23\/aldinhe-2020-the-learning-development-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"ALDinHE 2020: The Learning Development Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019d like to introduce myself as the new co-chair of the Conference Working Group, and to invite you to submit a proposal for our 2020 conference in North Hampton.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALDinHE 2020: The Learning Development Conference<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>University of Northampton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6<sup>th<\/sup>-8<sup>th<\/sup> April 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Join us in Northampton for three days of stimulating discussion and inspiring sessions!<\/p>\n<p>This year we have three broad strands we encourage you to consider aligning with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advocacy for Learning Development<\/li>\n<li>Creativity for change<\/li>\n<li>Embracing diversity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference will offer plenty of CPD opportunities, including research development, CeP\/CeLP guidance, opportunities to learn more about ALDinHE\u2019s work and the chance to get involved with a working group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for proposals is Monday 11<sup>th<\/sup> November 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year, we particularly welcome creative and imaginative proposals which aim to make effective use of Northampton\u2019s unique and innovative space. You may choose to submit a proposal for a:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>60-minute workshop<\/li>\n<li>20-minute paper presentation<\/li>\n<li>5-minute lightning talk<\/li>\n<li>Poster<\/li>\n<li>Resource swap shop<\/li>\n<li>Expert practitioner mini-keynote<\/li>\n<li>World Caf\u00e9 discussion<\/li>\n<li>Wild Card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Details may be found on the<a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aldinhe.ac.uk%2Fconference-2020%2F&amp;data=02%7C01%7Cdholley%40BOURNEMOUTH.AC.UK%7Cde8bb360bd9a459ad98308d73a7a6a46%7Cede29655d09742e4bbb5f38d427fbfb8%7C0%7C0%7C637042169751436447&amp;sdata=sJSHs68ktSfWR2mG75%2FkSk%2BIhOpvlNuGvH68XphDpOI%3D&amp;reserved=0\"> conference webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Northampton has redesigned itself to focus on small-group teaching.\u00a0 As such, we are introducing new initiatives for 2020:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expert practitioner mini-keynote on Tuesday<\/li>\n<li>World Discussion Caf\u00e9 forum with discussion prompts around various LD themes<\/li>\n<li>Wild Card \u2013 we invite colleagues to submit a weird and wonderful proposal for presentation!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will once again be opening a fee waiver scheme for those whose institutions will not fund the cost of a conference place. These will be on an application-only basis.
