They give\u00a0<strong>strategic direction<\/strong>\u00a0to support technological trends and\u00a0<strong>promote excellence in teaching <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>learning practices and their environments<\/strong>. This year Bournemouth University hosted their three day conference, 25-27 June.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the conference, BU Learning Technologists, working with Debbie Holley, Professor of Learning Innovation and Education Impact evaluation expert\u00a0 Dr Ben Goldsmith\u00a0 delivered a workshop entitled <em><strong>Tech futures: Innovating pedagogy<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bournemouth University has already hosted its first holographic lecture, presented by BBC Arts editor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/flie\/2018\/10\/10\/holographic-keynote-bfx\/\">Will Gompertz<\/a>; is building an immersive suite; and is exploring technobooths of the future \u00a0\u2013 but what technologies are there that are pedagogically sound, \u00a0low cost, and can be delivered at scale? This interactive workshop introduced participants to emergent technologies that\u00a0 reflected the recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/blogs\/innovating\/\">Open University<\/a> Innovating Pedagogy Report on new forms of teaching, learning and assessment for an interactive world.
