Samuel’s background is in health psychology and the psychology of ageing and he has published widely
on the subject of falls.

He is currently working on a project that offers Tai Chi to people living with dementia as a way to improve their quality of life and reduce the risk of falls by increasing balance.

Samuel is particularly interested in topics such as motivation for people to take part in fall prevention/ physical activity interventions, fear of falls, and behaviour change in relation to exercise for older people and those with dementia.

He has appeared in the local media, including BBC Radio Solent and BBC South Today.
