Nasiru’s research and professional expertise covers aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation, starting & scaling digital businesses, digital clustering, and innovation ecosystems.

He has examined and is now supervising doctoral students in the fields of entrepreneurship & innovation management with focus on digital entrepreneurship, clustering, and ecosystems.

He has written papers on digital cluster innovations in the Bournemouth & Poole region of the UK, as well as led the publication of an eclectic book on digital entrepreneurship in Sub Saharan Africa.

He is the Programme Coordinator for MSc Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship (IME) and also leads the university’s Small Business Charter accreditation (application team).
