David lectures principally in the areas of creativity in advertising and the social context of advertising.  He has worked on a number of collaborative projects with both major and local advertising agencies, specialising in the field of cultural strategy.
His interests are primarily focused on the area of the history of advertising – particularly the relationship between advertising and cultural production such as art, music and literature. He is currently writing an historical examination of the impact of advertising on popular consciousness from the 16th century to the present. David’s media experience includes local radio and specialist magazine commentary.
