Before becoming an academic, Adam worked in the feature film visual effects industry in Soho, London for six years, during which time he worked on a number of successful films including Gravity, Harry Potter, Narnia, Prince of Persia, John Carter, Clash of the Titans, Wrath of the Titans, and Sweeney Todd.

Adam is still an active visual effects artist within the feature film visual effects industry, working as a freelance texture artist.

Adam also has a number of academic publications in the area of visual effects education, and the application of photogrammetry within the fields of bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology.
