Day: July 8, 2013<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcome by <a href=\"http:\/\/ifitt.org\/\">IFITT<\/a> President Dimitrios Buhalis and the workshop chairs Alessandro Inversini and Barbara Neuhofer<\/li>\n<li>Keynote presentation about \u201cTravels\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 in\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ICT4D \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 from\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 reluctant\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 tourist\u201d, by Professor Tim Unwin.<\/li>\n<li>Presentations:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Brigitte Stangl (University of Surrey): \u2018\u00a0 A priori and a posteriori segmentation&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Rodolfo Baggio (Bocconi University): \u2018Network Analysis\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Hania Janta (University of Surrey): \u2018Research Method Netnography\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Iis Tussyadiah(University of Southern Denmark): \u2018Mixed Methods for<br \/>\neTourism Research\u2019<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2018Researcher Speed-Dating\u2019 to explore possible opportunities for collaboration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Evening: Dinner at Slug and Lettuce in Bournemouth<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">2. Day: July 9, 2013<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Round table session with experienced academics, like Alan Fyall, Steven Page \u00a0and John Fletcher,<\/li>\n<li>Presentation by <a href=\"http:\/\/ifitt.org\/\">IFITT<\/a> President Dimitrios Buhalis: \u201cSurviving the PhD process and getting the PhD awarded\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Parallel sessions where researchers at early stages will have the opportunity to discuss their research ideas and receive valuable, topic-specific feedback on their research progress.<\/li>\n<li>Workshop: \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/ifitt.org\/\">IFITT<\/a> Next Gen\u2019 themed: \u2018Manifesto, Initiatives, Future plans\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211;&gt; In order to make the most of the parralel sessions, participants are strongly advised to submit a short abstract (500-800 words) by May 13, 2013 (extended deadline). Those abstracts that are accepted will be collected in an online publication called \u2018Letters from IFITT Doctoral School 2013\u2019.
