Although mass digitization promises to enhance access to the world\u2019s cultural heritage, is also a bears the risk of generating new and not readily transparent monopolies on knowledge and information. The seminar discusses the viability of a new regulatory framework for the \u2018mass-digital age\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar expands on the argument developed in the book <a href=\"http:\/\/ukcatalogue.oup.com\/product\/academic\/law\/communications\/9780199664559.do#.UmGSqvlpmkt\">Copyright and Mass Digitization<\/a> (M. Borghi &amp; S.
