Moreover, and in particular, the talk will focus on UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and what they mean for IP laws in meeting these goals by 2030. The talk will focus on some of the aims such as boosting innovation, technology exchange and creativity in addressing some of the most pressing needs of developing countries. In this context, closing the COVID-19 global vaccination gap, boosting women and youth entrepreneurship as well as tackling the existential threat of climate change are some of the ways in which IP organisations such as the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) will aim to achieve the UNSDGs.<\/p>\n<p>The Public lecture will provide an insight in to the impact of IP laws on UNSDGs and will discuss the challenges and opportunities in looking ahead to 2030.<\/p>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\">\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(255, 255, 255)\">\n<div data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">\n<div class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\"><a href=\"https:\/\/abpi.org.br\/en\/newsletter\/graca-aranha-is-the-new-wipo-representative-in-geneva-for-sustainable-development\/\">Mr Jos\u00e9 Gra\u00e7a Aranha<\/a> is a Senior Director at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva, where he is currently the Special Representative for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN\/SDG). He served as Regional Director of the WIPO Brazil Office from 2010 to 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Gra\u00e7a Aranha was the Senior Director of the Department of International Registration, Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications.
