She obtained her PhD from CIPPM in 2020, with a thesis on out-of commerce works in film archives under the Copyright in the Digital Single Market Directive.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"0.12525011504885986\" class=\"highlight\">Melanie<\/span>\u00a0graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2014 with a First Class degree in Criminal Law and was awarded three Calcott Pryce awards for the highest performance in individual modules.\u00a0<span id=\"0.7894582466328313\" class=\"highlight\">She\u00a0<\/span>gained a Distinction in her Master\u2019s degree in Human Rights Law from Sunderland University in 2015 and was awarded the Best Post Graduate Law Student award.
