Marc Mimler<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Law Lecturer)\u00a0is a qualified German attorney (Rechtsanwalt) and a PhD graduate in patent law from Queen Mary, University of London. His\u00a0research interests cover intellectual property law with its interfaces with human rights and international trade law, information technology law and competition law. Marc has a particular interest in exceptions to intellectual property rights from a doctrinal and practical perspective and is currently developing a monograph on this issue with Edward Elgar.<\/p>\nThree new faculty members have joined Bournemouth University and CIPPM in September this year. Claudy Op den Kamp<\/a><\/strong> is Lecturer in Film at Bournemouth University and Adjunct Research Fellow at Swinburne Law School, Australia. Her research interests include film restoration, found footage filmmaking practices, and\u00a0the role of copyright in access to archival film collections.\u00a0She is currently working on a monograph entitled The Greatest Films Never Seen. The Film Archive and the Copyright Smokescreen<\/em>, to appear with Amsterdam University Press in 2017<\/p>\n![\"viola-p\"](\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2016\/10\/Viola-P.jpg\")
Viola Prifti<\/a><\/strong> (Research Assistant) holds a doctorate from the Institute of Law & Economics at Hamburg University, with a thesis on breeding exceptions to patent rights under the TRIPS Agreement. Before developing an interest in intellectual property, Viola obtained a degree in magistrate studies, a Master\u2019s degree in International and European law with full honors, and a bachelor degree from the University of Pisa. Viola has gained work experience in several legal areas both in Italy and Germany and conducted postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich from 2014 to 2015.\u00a0Her research interests include intellectual property, economics of innovation as well as comparative international and European Union law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
