In his article on the <em>Journal of Cultural Economics<\/em>, professor David Thorsby illustrates\u00a0the exceptional contribution that Ruth Towse has made\u00a0to the discipline over more than thirty years, and concludes that\u00a0&#8220;Ruth Towse\u2019s long and distinguished career have been essential to the establishment of the field of cultural economics&#8221;.
