{"id":3514,"date":"2014-12-21T14:49:11","date_gmt":"2014-12-21T14:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/?p=3514"},"modified":"2025-01-02T15:01:01","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T15:01:01","slug":"building-links-between-uk-and-china-to-further-copyright-research-and-collaboration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/2014\/12\/21\/building-links-between-uk-and-china-to-further-copyright-research-and-collaboration\/","title":{"rendered":"Building Links between UK and China to further Copyright Research and Collaboration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In November 2014, \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/2014\/04\/23\/dinusha-mendis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Dinusha Mendis<\/a>, Co-Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre for Intellectual Property and Management<\/a> (CIPPM) was invited as part of a UK delegation to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nottingham.edu.cn\/en\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus<\/a> (UNNC) in China.<\/p>\n<p>The one-day event which took place on 22 November 2014,\u00a0included participants from both the UK and China. The representatives for the visit were drawn from academia, business and government backgrounds. \u00a0 Representatives from UK&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ahrc.ac.uk\/Pages\/Home.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arts and Humanities Research Council<\/a> (AHRC) were also in attendance including AHRC&#8217;s Chief Executive, Professor Rick Rylance.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3518\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright4.jpg\" alt=\"China Copyright4\" width=\"1768\" height=\"1180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright4.jpg 1768w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright4-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright4-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1768px) 100vw, 1768px\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The visit was organised as part of a joint enterprise between the AHRC, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.horizon.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Horizon Digital Economy Research Institute <\/a>at University of Nottingham and UNNC.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the workshop was to identify projects and partners for future collaborative research and to discuss the potential for the establishment of a Centre for Digital Copyright Research in China at the Ningbo campus. \u00a0The established Centre is expected to act as a Hub for research development between UK and China.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3517\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright3.jpg\" alt=\"China Copyright3\" width=\"1768\" height=\"1180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright3.jpg 1768w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/cippm\/files\/2015\/01\/China-Copyright3-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1768px) 100vw, 1768px\" \/><\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In November 2014, \u00a0Dr. Dinusha Mendis, Co-Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property and Management (CIPPM) was invited as part of a UK delegation to the University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus (UNNC) in China.
