Higher education is experiencing an unprecedented period of change in which the future face, shape, identity and purpose of the university are all being challenged. With an uncertain political, social and technological future on the horizon there are many questions as to what the university is for, how we should learn and teach within it, and the relationships between and roles of all those involved in its life. In this session we will consider the ideas, priorities, challenges, hopes and fears that arise from a consideration of the university of the future and will bring these to life in Lego. Bring an open mind and enquiring spirit!

Alison James is Professor of Learning and Teaching, Director of Academic Quality and Development at the University of Winchester. She is a National Teaching Fellow and Principal Fellow of the HEA.

This hands-on event will showcase the implementation of Lego for staff to create an innovative learning and teaching experience. It fits with the BU strategic investment area of Animation, Simulation & Visualisation. CEL has Lego for BU staff to borrow.

This is a public event with only 25 tickets: Book now on eventbrite
