Brightspace start of semester staff support – 4/5

As we gear up for the new academic year, there are lots of support opportunities for staff learning about our wonderful new Brightspace VLE.

All training information and the booking schedule is available here.

There are three routes for help and support once you have completed your initial training.

Self-help
Contact an Learning Technologist for .. The Learning Technologists offer drop-in sessions for help with Brightspace tools and features such as:

  • Support with embedding more formative feedback
  • Advice for improving student engagement
  • Guidance on tracking student performance
  • Help with making the most of Brightspace
  • Drop-in session schedule and locations
Contact an Academic Learning Designer for .. For more specialised aspects of Brightspace, email Liz Falconer or David Biggins direct for:

  • Increasing student engagement with Brightspace
  • Using a wide range of Brightspace tools and affordances
  • Blending face to face interaction with your Brightspace units
  • Using Brightspace to get your students ready for your tutorials, lectures and workshops
  • Any other questions on learning design, good practice, engaging students

15, 30 or 60 minute appointments for support are available weeks commencing

  • 8th October
  • 15th October

For snagging/ technical issues on the VLE, we are recording and monitoring any issues. A triage system set up in SNOW and this is the fastest way of resolving any issues you may have.
