Quizzes are a great way to engage students, find out where students need further support and provide an effective mechanism to provide feedback and feedforward to students. In addition, with the focus in the new assessment policy, 6C, on more formative assessment for students, quizzes could be a really useful tool.
Brightspace has an excellent quiz tool. To help you gain the most from this functionality, John Moran has developed resources and exercises in the Brightspace Online Training unit for academic staff to follow. If you can access Brightspace, this is the link to the Brightspace Online training unit. In the Content area, scroll down to the module called ‘Using quizzes’.
