Funded secondments two days a week, in roles that provide an exceptional opportunity to develop leadership skills, the ability to influence colleagues and a body of work across the University, supporting the achievement of corporate goals as we move towards BU2025. These roles require academics who possess a demonstrable track record of best practice in education approaches and techniques, coupled with the ability to support, guide and mentor staff in their chosen theme area.
The opportunities the Theme Leader role provides are endless, not least the sense of making a contribution to the fusion of research, teaching and practice across programmes, departments and faculties within BU. It has been wonderful connecting with and meeting colleagues from different disciplines whilst exploring their experiences (and sometimes challenges) relating to enhancing the employability prospects of our students.
