Centre for Fusion Learning Innovation and Excellence

Bournemouth University hosted the 7^th Annual UK and Ireland PASS/PAL Leader Conference last weekend (4-6^th November), with over 130 delegates attending from 34 institutions. The event, officially opened by Tim McIntyre-Bhatty and held predominantly in our beautiful Fusion Building, included dedicated programmes for both student PAL Leaders and staff who manage PAL in their institution and included successful visits to AFC Bournemouth and Bournemouth Pier.  Lectures and workshops were provided by BU staff and external practitioners and the inspirational keynote, encouraging attendees to embrace ‘Turning Vision into a Reality’, was delivered by two BU alumni, Jon Bowmer and Ross Coombes.  Initial delegate feedback has been incredibly positive and we are very proud of the 17 staff and students who represented BU and who committed so much of their time prior to and during the weekend to make the whole event a success. More details of the sessions themselves and the learning shared around continuing professional development will follow once all presentations and photographs have been collated.
