Staff participants, Unituhack, London, Saturday 14 November

The Unitu team and Jisc have collaborated to create UnituHack. It is a student & staff ed-tech event, bringing them together to form teams for one day to co-create technological innovations and solutions for specific challenges found in universities. There will be four UnituHack events in London, Midlands, Northern England and Scotland. The first will be hosted in London, 14th November (details are below).

All the student places for Unituhack London are filled but there are still places for staff in education to join the teams.

Unituhack

The purpose of the event is to understand what challenges staff and student are currently facing in higher education, and to put them into teams with developers and designers to build solutions to those specific challenges within the day.

You can see what was created at last year’s event by watching the pitches here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsNV_dWDpBLrqeaH15vJ56mufvqRNl-Yx

UnituHack is a wonderful opportunity for all types of university staff (academic or professional service) who may have an idea they would like to create that can improve theirs and students academic experience.

The event is great way to:
• To create solutions to challenges you and your students may face
• Network with other staff and students from different Universities
• Free food all day (breakfast, lunch and drinks for networking after the event)
• Find out what makes students get up at 6 am to travel to another city and work non-stop for almost 15 hours!
• Have fun and be part of an incredible and growing ed-tech community
