The Call for Papers for the Public Relations History 2014 special edition of Public Relations Review has been issued. It builds on the success of the first 2012 edition (Vol. 38, No.3) and the forthcoming 2013 edition (Vol. 30, No.2) which have published selected, peer reviewed papers from the International History of Public Relations Conference (IHPRC).

Call for Papers for Public Relations History 2014 special edition

For the 2014 special edition, papers from IHPRC and more generally are sought for the widest range of submissions. The Call for Papers outlines the range of topics that authors can consider, but is not limited to those. In addition to the topics and themes that have characterised IHPRC since it was launched in 2009, two additional themes are promoted for the next special edition.

Historical aspects of the professionalisation of public relations

The historiography of public relations

Both build from major topics of discussion at IHPRC. Papers and presentations can be found under the Proceedings tab at http://historyofpr.com.

Manuscripts must be submitted with APA referencing. The MS of 3000 to 6000 words, plus references, must be presented in Word format.

The deadline for submission is October 1, 2013 through the journal’s submission portal at http://ees.elsevier.com/pubrel/. All submissions must be noted for the “Public Relations History 2014 Special Issue” in the pull-down menu.
