Just to give you a run down of what has been going on so far and what is coming up in the near future.
- Last Tuesday we ran a successful talk on The Swash Channel Wreck by Dave Parham which was very good, so thank you goes to Dave.
Coming up before Christmas we have:
- Tuesday 22nd November at 7pm we have Colin Martin coming in to give us a talk on The Spanish Armada in the Cobham Lecture Theatre
- Tuesday 6th December at 7pm we have Andrew Fitzpatrick coming in to give a talk on The Amesbury Archer in the Cobham Lecture Theatre
Furthermore plans are in motion for a Archaeology Society Christmas Party possibly in the last week of term in the Loft on Talbot Campus. I have spoken to Dr Mark Maltby and he is kindly going to be giving a talk on ‘The Archaeology of Father Christmas’ before we make our way to the Loft. The Standing Stones featuring several members of staff from the Archaeology Group will also be making an appearance during the evening.
If any Arch students would like to know more either email us on this email buas@hotmail.co.uk, find us on Facebook ‘BU Archaeology Society’ or we have a noticeboard next to C133 for more details.
